Fresh Balsam carries the cool fragrance of evergreen needles and deep woodland air, lending a study, bedroom, or reading corner the solemn calm of a cathedral after nightfall. The scent feels crisp and atmospheric rather than sugary, making it well suited to winter evenings, late reading, and rooms furnished in dark wood, leather, velvet, or old books.

The candle is hand-poured into a 9-ounce amber glass jar and finished with a black metal lid. Its warm flame glows through the tinted glass while the vintage Gothic label gives the vessel the character of something discovered in a private chapel or old apothecary. After the final burn, the jar may be cleaned and reused for matches, pens, dried herbs, or other small objects requiring a more dignified residence.

Product details

Made with 100% natural soy wax from soybeans grown in the United States. The candle contains a 100% cotton wick and is formulated without parabens, phthalates, synthetic dyes, or lead. The 9-ounce jar provides an estimated burn time of 50 to 60 hours. A permanent label and black metal lid complete the design. The candle meets applicable ASTM safety standards.

Care instructions

Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each lighting. For an even burn, allow the wax to melt across most of the surface during the first use. Burn for no more than three to four hours at a time.

Keep the candle within sight and place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, children, pets, and flammable objects. Stop using it when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains. Even a cathedral knows when to extinguish its lights.
